This Privacy Policy explains how AncientSky Games collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal information when you use Practisim Designer and related websites, applications, support, subscriptions, and online services, collectively called the "Service."

Practisim Designer is restricted to people aged 18 or older. Do not create an account or use the Service if you are under 18.

1. Information we collect

  • Account information, such as email address, Firebase user identifier, email-verification status, authentication events, and account settings.
  • Age and legal-acceptance information, including the date of birth you provide, whether you meet the 18+ requirement, the date and method of the check, and the versions and timestamps of Terms acceptance and Privacy Policy acknowledgment.
  • Subscription and entitlement information, such as plan, status, renewal dates, Stripe customer and subscription identifiers, Patreon identifiers and tier status, team-license assignments, and transaction-related records. Payment-card details are handled by the payment provider and are not stored by Practisim Designer.
  • User Content, including stage files, stage metadata, notes, images, thumbnails, custom props and models, groups, templates, team content, Stage Central submissions, votes, and content you choose to publish or share.
  • Communications, feedback, support requests, survey responses, and related attachments.
  • Usage and device information, such as feature interactions, app version, session identifiers, error information, browser or device type, approximate location inferred from IP address, network logs, referral information, and security or abuse signals.
  • Integration and automated-feature data, including content and instructions you deliberately send to AI, conversion, export, Patreon, payment, or other connected features.

2. How we collect information

We collect information directly from you, automatically from the Service and your device, from organization or team administrators who assign access, and from providers you connect or use, such as Firebase, Google Cloud, Stripe, Patreon, Resend, GitHub, and OpenAI. We also use browser storage, cookies, and similar technologies for authentication, preferences, security, cached application state, and analytics.

3. How we use information

  • Provide, operate, synchronize, personalize, and support the Service.
  • Create and secure accounts, verify email, enforce the 18+ restriction, record legal acceptance, prevent repeated underage registration attempts, and investigate abuse.
  • Process subscriptions, trials, team licenses, Patreon access, receipts, renewals, cancellations, and customer support.
  • Store, render, convert, export, share, and publish User Content according to your instructions.
  • Provide AI-assisted, validation, conversion, telemetry, feedback, and other requested features.
  • Measure performance and feature use; diagnose errors; protect users, AncientSky Games, and the Service; enforce agreements; and comply with law.
  • Communicate service notices, security alerts, billing messages, support replies, and, with any consent required by law, product updates or marketing.

4. Legal bases for processing

Where applicable law requires a legal basis, we process information as necessary to perform our contract with you, pursue legitimate interests such as operating and securing the Service, comply with legal obligations, protect vital interests, and obtain consent where required. You may withdraw consent for future processing when consent is the basis, although another lawful basis may still apply.

5. How we disclose information

  • Service providers that host, authenticate, analyze, secure, communicate, process payments, provide customer support, or perform requested AI and conversion functions. These may include Google Firebase and Google Cloud, Stripe, Patreon, Resend, GitHub, and OpenAI, depending on the features you use.
  • Team owners, managers, members, or license administrators according to the team and sharing controls you use.
  • The public and other users when you publish to Stage Central or another public feature. Public information may include stage details, author information you provide, previews, votes, and downloadable files.
  • Authorities, advisers, counterparties, and other recipients when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect rights and safety, investigate fraud or security issues, or complete a financing, reorganization, merger, acquisition, or sale.
  • Other parties when you direct us or provide valid consent.

6. Selling, sharing, and advertising

AncientSky Games does not sell personal information for money and does not use the Service to serve cross-context behavioral advertising. We disclose information to service providers and connected services for the purposes described above. If our practices change in a way that creates additional opt-out rights, we will update this Policy and provide the required controls.

7. Age information and users under 18

We use the date of birth you provide to determine eligibility, enforce the adult-only account rule, document compliance, and handle appeals or suspected misuse. We do not knowingly permit anyone under 18 to use the Service. If an existing account provides a date of birth showing the user is under 18, we may block the account, revoke active sessions, and retain a limited compliance record to prevent circumvention and address legal or support requirements.

If you believe a person under 18 has used the Service or supplied personal information, contact info@ancientskygames.com. We will investigate and delete or restrict information as appropriate, subject to records we must or reasonably need to retain.

8. Retention

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Service, maintain an account or subscription, fulfill the purposes described here, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, maintain security and backups, and satisfy legal, tax, accounting, and compliance requirements. Retention varies by data type. Public or team content may remain until removed by an authorized user or administrator, and copies downloaded by others are outside our control. Backup and log deletion may occur on a delayed cycle.

9. Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information, including managed authentication, access controls, encryption in transit, restricted storage, and monitoring. No online system is completely secure. You are responsible for using a strong password and protecting your account and devices.

10. International processing

AncientSky Games and its providers may process information in the United States and other countries whose data-protection laws differ from those where you live. Where required, we use contractual or other approved safeguards for international transfers.

11. Your choices and privacy rights

  • You may update certain settings in the Service, manage eligible billing through the billing provider, choose whether to publish or share content, unlink supported integrations, and opt out of optional telemetry where the setting is available.
  • Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, objection, withdrawal of consent, or appeal of a privacy decision, and to lodge a complaint with a regulator.
  • To make a privacy request, email info@ancientskygames.com from the address associated with your account and describe the request. We may verify your identity and may retain or decline to delete information where permitted or required by law. Authorized agents may be required to provide proof of authority.

12. Third-party services and links

Third-party services have their own privacy practices. This Policy does not govern information a third party collects directly from you, including payment credentials entered into Stripe, Patreon account activity, or content accessed through an external link. Review those providers' notices before using them.

13. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in the Service, law, or our practices. We will change the effective date and provide additional notice or request renewed acknowledgment when appropriate.

Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern access to and use of Practisim Designer, including its website, editor, collaboration features, hosted content, subscriptions, and related services, collectively called the "Service." The Service is provided by AncientSky Games ("AncientSky Games," "we," "us," or "our").

By creating an account, accepting these Terms, purchasing or receiving a license, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not create an account or use the Service.

1. Eligibility and account responsibility

  • You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or use the Service. Parent or guardian permission does not override this minimum age requirement.
  • You must provide accurate account and date-of-birth information and keep your sign-in credentials secure.
  • You may not share a personal account. An organization purchasing multiple seats is responsible for assigning each seat only to an eligible individual user.
  • You must promptly notify us at info@ancientskygames.com if you believe an account has been compromised or is being used by someone under 18.

2. License to use the Service

Subject to these Terms and any applicable subscription or license limits, AncientSky Games grants you a limited, personal or internal-business, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Service. The Service is licensed, not sold.

  • You may use the Service to create, edit, import, export, and share stage-design materials for lawful purposes.
  • You may not copy, resell, sublicense, reverse engineer, bypass access controls, scrape protected assets, interfere with the Service, or use the Service to develop a competing asset library or service except where applicable law expressly permits the activity.
  • You may not use automated means to create accounts, exhaust quotas, evade fees, probe security, or access data belonging to another user or team.

3. Subscriptions, trials, and payment

  • Paid features may require a recurring subscription, Patreon entitlement, team license, promotional access, or another license identified in the Service.
  • Prices, billing intervals, included seats, trial length, and renewal terms are shown before purchase. Taxes may be added where required.
  • Recurring subscriptions continue until canceled. You may manage an eligible Stripe subscription through the billing portal. Canceling stops future renewal but ordinarily does not shorten access already paid for.
  • Except where required by law or expressly stated at purchase, charges are non-refundable. We may correct pricing or billing errors and may change future pricing with advance notice when required.
  • Third-party payment or membership providers, including Stripe and Patreon, may apply their own terms and privacy practices.

4. User content and shared materials

You retain ownership of stage files, notes, images, templates, custom props, and other content you submit to the Service ("User Content"). You represent that you have the rights needed to submit and use that content.

  • You grant AncientSky Games a worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, reproduce, process, transmit, display, and modify User Content only as reasonably necessary to provide, secure, support, and improve the Service or comply with law.
  • When you deliberately publish content to Stage Central or another public-sharing feature, you also authorize us and other users to view, download, copy, and use that published content for the purposes made available by that feature until it is removed. Copies previously downloaded by others may remain.
  • Team owners and authorized members may access content shared within their team. You are responsible for choosing what to share and with whom.
  • We may remove or restrict content that violates these Terms, infringes rights, creates security risk, or is unlawful.

5. Safety and professional judgment

Practisim Designer is a planning and visualization tool. It is not a substitute for professional range design, engineering, construction review, match-official review, legal advice, or on-site safety inspection.

  • You are solely responsible for checking measurements, target placement, trajectories, barriers, props, written briefings, local rules, sanctioning-body requirements, accessibility, and real-world conditions before building or using a stage.
  • A design that renders successfully may still be unsafe, inaccurate, incomplete, or prohibited. Never rely on the Service as the sole basis for a safety-critical decision.
  • You must use the Service and any resulting plans in compliance with all applicable laws, venue rules, and safe firearm, airsoft, simulation, or sporting practices.

6. AI-assisted and automated features

AI-assisted suggestions, generated layouts, validations, conversions, and other automated outputs may be incomplete, inaccurate, or unsuitable. You are responsible for reviewing and correcting every output before relying on it. Do not submit confidential or sensitive personal information to an AI feature unless the interface expressly permits it and you have authority to do so.

7. AncientSky Games property

The Service, software, interface, documentation, protected prop library, models, graphics, logos, and other AncientSky Games materials are owned by AncientSky Games or its licensors and are protected by intellectual-property laws. Except for the limited license in these Terms, no rights are transferred to you. Feedback may be used by us without restriction or compensation, provided we do not publicly identify you without permission.

8. Availability, changes, and third-party services

We may maintain, modify, add, remove, suspend, or discontinue features. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability. The Service may interoperate with third-party products and links that we do not control. Your use of those products is governed by their terms.

9. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for nonpayment, an underage or inaccurate account, material violation of these Terms, unlawful conduct, abuse, security risk, or where required by law. Where practical, we will provide notice and a reasonable opportunity to export eligible content, but immediate action may be necessary. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination, including ownership, payment obligations, disclaimers, and limitations of liability, will survive.

10. Disclaimers

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." ANCIENTSKY GAMES DISCLAIMS IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, SAFETY, AND QUIET ENJOYMENT. Nothing in these Terms excludes a warranty or right that cannot legally be excluded.

11. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ANCIENTSKY GAMES AND ITS OWNERS, PERSONNEL, AFFILIATES, AND SUPPLIERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES; LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, GOODWILL, OR BUSINESS; OR PERSONAL INJURY OR PROPERTY DAMAGE ARISING FROM RELIANCE ON A STAGE DESIGN OR AUTOMATED OUTPUT. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY ARISING FROM THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF US$100 OR THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO ANCIENTSKY GAMES FOR THE SERVICE DURING THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM. These limits do not apply where prohibited by law.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. If a change is material, we will provide notice through the Service, email, or another reasonable method and request renewed acceptance when appropriate. The effective date identifies the current version.

13. General terms and contact

If any provision is unenforceable, it will be limited to the minimum extent necessary and the remaining provisions will continue. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not transfer these Terms without our consent; we may transfer them as part of a reorganization, financing, merger, acquisition, or sale of the Service. Applicable mandatory consumer protections remain unaffected.
